Slide interlocking divider panels into the box so the slots align, forming a grid of compartments, then insert the panels vertically until they sit flush against the box walls and base. Properly fitted dividers should hold firmly in place without adhesive, though tabs or glue points can add extra stability for heavier contents.

Dividers are created by measuring the box's interior length, width and height, then cutting paperboard, chipboard or corrugated material into strips with slots cut halfway through so they interlock at right angles.
