Michigan Paper Die's embossing dies work with a wide range of substrates including text and bond paper, cover weight paper, chipboard, corrugated material, plastic composites, magnetic material, and kiss-cut or sticker stock, with material thickness up to approximately .060–.080 inches.

Single-level embossing uses copper dies to create a uniform raised effect, ideal for standard logos and text. Multi-level or sculptured embossing uses brass dies to produce varying depths and contours, achieving a premium, highly detailed look often used in luxury packaging and presentation materials.

Standard single-level embossing dies typically have a 3-day lead time. Multi-level, sculptured, or combination brass dies require individual quoting due to their complexity, with turnaround times determined based on the specific design and production requirements of the project.

Die construction is completed using Adobe Illustrator EPS files processed through Cimek software. PDF, JPEG, TIFF, and AI files are not compatible, so submitting properly formatted EPS artwork helps avoid delays and ensures accurate, production-ready die construction.
